A total of 10 persons, including three children and seven adults, have lost their lives in an accident at the Abule Osun area of the Lagos-Badagary expressway, Lagos state, on Tuesday night.
According to a statement by the permanent secretary of the state emergency management agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, three other persons were injured in the accident which occurred around 11 pm when a siena vehicle loaded to capacity rammed into a stationary truck along the road.
Oke-Osanyintolu noted that the investigation revealed that the Sienna vehicle was travelling at top speed without considering the granite-laden truck, which had taken half of the road.
