Governor Bassey Otu of cross river state has presented a proposed budget of 498 billion naira for the 2025 fiscal year, titled the “sustainable growth budget,” to the state house of assembly in Calabar.
Presenting the breakdown, Otu revealed that 328 billion naira is earmarked for capital expenditure, while 170 Billion naira is allocated for recurrent spending.
He noted that the budget aligns with specific sustainable development goals, including zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, industry and innovation as well as peace and justice.
