Armed gunmen that kidnapped five pupils of Apostolic Faith Group of Schools in Emure Ekiti and four staff members have demanded 100 million naira as ransom for the release of the nine victims who were taken away on Monday, 29th January, 2024.
Principal of the Secondary School, Boje Olanireti, who confirmed the development during an interview with journalists, said the gunmen attacked the school bus while conveying the pupils home after school hours.
He however stated that security operatives are currently trying their efforts to rescue the victims unhurt.
