Not less than seven persons have died as a result of cholera outbreak in the Yola north local government area of Adamawa state.
A statement by the national emergency management agency (NEMA) also disclosed that a total of 71 others have been hospitalized while over 100 people are currently under monitoring following a recent flood that contaminated the communities’ drinking water sources.
However, the development comes as the Nigeria centre for disease control and prevention disclosed that the country has recorded 1,528 suspected cases of Cholera and 53 deaths in 31 states across 107 local government areas.
