The whereabouts of a yet-to-be-identified mother, her baby and six other persons have reportedly been unknown after a heavy downpour flood washed them away in the Agege area of Lagos state.
Chairman of the Orile Agege local council development area, Johnson Babatunde, confirmed the incident during an interview with journalists, explaining that a woman while backing her child also lost control of her movement and fell into the flood, while calling on the state government to intervene into the incident.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer at the State Ministry of Environment, Kunle Adeshina said expansion work is currently ongoing on the drainage system in the area.
