Not less than five persons have been killed and 11 others injured after suspected terrorists fired mortar bombs at a town in Borno state.

Two anti-jihadist militia commanders made this known, noting that scores of fighters invaded the town of Damboa but met stiff resistance from the paramilitary outfit that works alongside the armed forces.

Meanwhile, they disclosed that the dead victims have been buried while the injured have been flown to the regional capital Maiduguri aboard a helicopter for medical attention.
