Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has announced that the state international airport will be officially licensed for commercial operations this week, saying it will be the first approval of its kind in Nigeria.

Abiodun made this announcement at Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government, during a rally to support Adesola Elegbeji, the All-Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the forthcoming Remo Federal Constituency by-election, stating that the cargo will serve as the designated alternate airport to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, as well as passenger flights to be launch soon, starting with direct routes to Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Family FM’s Bose Akintunde reports that, the Governor talking on the economic growth, said it will boost trade, investment, and tourism in Ogun State, also position to place Ogun State on the global aviation map.
