The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed all commercial banks to dispense and accept old naira notes as deposits.
Anambra state governor, Charles Soludo, who is also a former CBN governor, confirmed this to newsmen, explaining that the governor of CBN, Godwin Emefiele gave the directive at a banker’s committee meeting on Sunday.
Soludo, who was a former CBN governor however urged all residents of the state to accept and transact their businesses with the old and new naira notes and report banks that refuse to accept the old notes
