Ahead of the meeting between the Federal government and the Organized Labor scheduled to hold today, 19th of June, 2023, the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) has appealed to the government to meet its demands in order to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal in the country.
NLC Vice President, Adewale Adeyanju, who spoke to newsmen, also called on the government to act fast in providing palliatives to Nigerians due to the fuel subsidy removal, while also calling for increment in the minimum wage from 30 thousand Naira to 150 thousand Naira.
Adeyanju further threatened that it will not hesitate to call out workers for industrial action if the government fails to meet their demands.
