The immediate past Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, and his son, Abdulaziz, have secured 1 billion naira bail from the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The Court, in a ruling that was delivered by Trial Justice Emeka Nwite, equally granted Malami’s wife, Hajia Bashir Asabe, who is also a defendant in the case, bail to the tune of 500 million naira.
It held that all the defendants must provide two sureties each in the like sum, who must be owners of landed properties in either Asokoro, Maitama, or Gwarinpa districts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and as well, surrender their travel passports.
