The National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) has called on the federal government to urgently attend to some pressing issues that may lead to industrial disharmony in the country’s tertiary education sector.
NAAT National President, Ibeji Nwokoma, who addressed the newsmen in Abuja, lamented that the government is yet to fulfill nonpayment of withheld 5 months salaries, implementation of the agreement between the federal government and the association, among other demand.
He also called on the government concerning the 40 percent salary increment and core curriculum minimum academic standard, while urging the top official in the education sector to appoint a new chairman to have a negotiation with the association without further delay.
