The National Industrial Court of Nigeria has ordered the Nigerian navy to reinstate naval rating officer, Fagbemi Babatunde and pay him all outstanding salaries, benefits and pension contributions from august 2008 to date.
The presiding judge, Justice Emmanuel Subilim told newsmen that Babatunde was wrongfully dismissed without trial after making several unsuccessful attempts to challenge the decision.
Recall that Babatunde was dismissed in 2008 after being detained on the orders of his commanding officer after been accused of refusing to sign for and collect a weapon while on duty.
