No fewer than 102 stranded Nigerians that were evacuated from Libya have been received at the early hours of Wednesday by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) at the Murtala Muhammed international airport in Lagos state.
The returnees, who were officially received by the Director-General of NEMA, Mustapha Ahmed on behalf of the federal government, said the 102 returnees, comprised of 96 females, two males and four infants.
Ahmed further stated that the federal government will continue to be committed to ensuring that Nigerian citizens are protected anywhere they found themselves across the world.
