The Nigeria union of pensioners, south-west zone has lamented the failure of the government to implement the 32 thousand Naira pension increase across board for the pensioners as directed by President Bola Tinubu.
Public Relations Officer of the union, Olusegun Abatan, who raised this concern while addressing journalists in Abeokuta, Ogun state, expressed worry that only Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has implemented part of the pension increase among the six south-west states, while urging other governors in the region to emulate his kind gesture.
Recall that President Tinubu had last year September , gave the directive at the commencement of payment of 70 thousand Naira new minimum wage to ensure that the pensioners are not excluded.
