President Muhammadu Buhari has transmitted the finance bill 2022 to the National Assembly.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, who made this known while reading out the cover letter of the president on the bill says federal government proposes expanding the tax net, revenue sharing formula, and allocation to state and local governments.
Meanwhile, the house committee on appropriations is expected to lay its report on the 2023 appropriation bill today, while passage of the budget is expected to be concluded tomorrow when the lawmakers will embark on Christmas and new year break.
