President Bola Tinubu has pledged a better living and working conditions for all Nigerians of working age, saying the “custodians of the nation’s machinery deserve a fair wage and enhanced welfare.
Special adviser to the President on Media and pPublicity, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed the president’s remarks in a statement, affirming the present administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of all workers, as well as various relief programes, including the wage award and the imminent minimum wage review.
However, his remarks come amid inflated cost of living believed to be the aftermath of hardline economic reforms pursued by his administration.
