The Resident Doctors and The Federal Government have reached an agreement over the five-day warning strike embarked upon by the association.

Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige confirmed this to newsmen, explaining that all the eight issues raised by the striking resident doctors have been addressed, adding that the fund for the payment of the 2023 medical residency training fund  has been put in place in the 2023 appropriation and the payment will commence when the operation of the 2023 budget begins.

Recall that the resident doctors had on 17th of May, 2023 commenced a five-day warning strike to press home its demands after a 14-day ultimatum to the government lapsed.
