The Nigerian Senate has suspended the 2025 budget defense for the office of the auditor-general for the federation (OAGF), raising the possibility that the office will receive no allocation

Senate committee on public accounts, led by Senator Ahmed Wadada, who expressed frustration with the auditor-general Chira and his team, while appearing before the committee unprepared, said the move comes after the senate had set tomorrow, 22nd of January, 2025, as the deadline for budget presentations.

Recall that Chira, while appearing before the committee refused to answer questions thrown at him concerning the 2024 budget performance in his office.
