As the festive period is fast approaching, no fewer than three commuters have been confirmed dead, while twelve others sustained degrees of injuries in a road accident along the Akure-Owo route in Ondo state.
State FRSC Sector commander, Ezekiel Sonallah, who confirmed this to newsmen, explained that the accident which involved a Toyota Sienna car and hummer bus was caused by wrongful overtaking and over speeding by the driver of the Sienna car.
He however revealed that the injured victims have been taken to the university of medical sciences teaching hospital annex in Akure for proper treatment, while the dead victims have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
