Senator representing Bauchi South senatorial district, Shehu Buba, has commended the supreme court’s judgment granting financial autonomy to local governments in Nigeria, stressing that the decision will reshape politics and governance across the country.
Recall that the apex court decision had prevented the state governments from accessing the monthly allocations of the third tier of government.
Reacting to the judgement, the senator, in a statement made available to journalists over the weekend, described it as a welcome development for many reasons.
