The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unveiled a revised draft of its 2026 regulations and guidelines for political parties to tighten internal party processes and boost election credibility ahead of the 2027 polls.
The draft, presented in Abuja by the inec chairman, Joash Amupitan, aligns with the electoral act 2026 and closes gaps in previous frameworks.
Highlighting the importance of internal democracy, Amupitan stressed that credible elections are rooted in transparent candidate selection processes.
