Oil dealers under the aegis of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) says it will shut down the 30 thousand stations operated by its members across the country, if the federal government fails to pay the 200 billion Naira it owes marketers.
This was disclosed in a communiqué issued in Abuja by the Chairman of IPMAN depot forum, Yahaya Alhassan, lamenting that the government fails to pay the marketers transportation of petroleum products loaded from depots to various states across the country since September, 2022.
Commenting on the scarcity of fuel across the country, Alhassan said the problem is because the NNPC has not been supplying enough petrol to dealers.
