Malawi women’s under 20 head coach, Maggie Chombo has expressed confidence that Malawi can overturn their first-leg defeat against Nigeria’s falconets in the return leg of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
Recall that the falconets secured a commanding 2-0 victory in Ikenne, boosting their chances of extending their consistent record of qualification for the global tournament.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s goals came after the break, with an own goal by Maureen Kenneth followed by a second from kindness Ifeanyi to seal the win.
