An oil company is to build a refinery with a three billion petrochemical capacity plant in Tongeji Island, around The Ipokia local government area of Ogun State.
Chairman of the company, Doctor Lukman Bolaji who made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun with his team explains that it has acquired an oil block on the island, adding that it will also produce 400,000 liters of oil per day.
According to Family FM Reporter, Bose Akintunde, Bolaji further disclose that the company will also generate 110 megawatts of electricity, starting with 37 megawatts, while about 10,000 direct and indirect jobs will also be generated.
Meanwhile, Governor Abiodun in his response, says the project will be achieved through a public-private partnership initiative.
