Plateau state police command has confirmed that five people were killed in an attack on Gwan-Ajang village, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson, Alfred Alabo, said officers of the Gindiri division received a distress call and swiftly deployed to the scene, adding that the victims were reportedly attacked while attending a social gathering.

Alabo noted that the village lies between Mangu and Barkin Ladi local government areas, a situation that often results in conflicting reports about the exact location of such incidents.
