Kogi state police command has arrested six suspects in connection with an attack on the senator representing Kogi East in the National Assembly, Isah Echocho.
In a statement, police spokesperson in the state, William Aya, said the lawmaker was attacked in Lokoja, the state capital, after a visit to Governor Yahaya Bello, assuring that the arrested suspects will be charged to court to serve as deterrent to others.
Aya however appealed to the general public to remain law-abiding and continue to collaborate with security agencies on the activities of criminal elements in the state.
