Abia state governor, Alex Otti has banned the use of motorcycles otherwise known as ‘okada’ in Imuahia the state capital and Aba.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kazie Uko confirmed this to journalists, revealing that the ban is with immediate effects from today, Monday, 14th of August, 2023.
Uko however stated that any motorcycle seen on the streets of Umuahia and Aba townships will face the law by the security agencies, while urging members of the public to comply with the order.
