Benue State Government has ordered Political Appointees with plans to run for elective positions to officially make their intentions known and vacate their appointments.
The statement was endorsed by the Deputy Governor, Sam Ode, amid heightened political maneuvering and increasing indications of interest for various elective offices ahead of the 2027 polls.
The Government stated that all affected appointees must forward written notices declaring the offices they intend to contest, together with their resignation letters, to the office of the Deputy Governor, adding that the deadline for submission is Thursday, 18th of December, 2025.
