Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has directed all political appointees intending to contest elective positions in the 2027 general elections to resign on or before 31st of March, 2026.
The directive was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Kinsley Emu, and shared on the State Government’s official page this Monday.
He noted that the resignation requirement applies to all categories of political appointees seeking nomination or intending to participate in party primaries.
