A leadership crisis in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has escalated as Tajudeen Baruwa took over the union’s national secretariat in Abuja, displacing Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, after court rulings.
Baruwa, speaking this Monday, said two court judgments backed his move as he appeared at the secretariat with supporters from across the country.
He added that the union had earlier notified the police with copies of the rulings, but got little response, forcing it to proceed with reclaiming the office.
