Energy experts have urged the Federal government to attract investments from the United Arab Emirates to upgrade electricity infrastructure and improve power supply.
The call follows Nigeria’s participation at middle east energy 2026 in Dubai, where Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening energy security, as the UAE reportedly invested 71.32 billion dollars in Sub-Saharan Africa between 2021 and 2025.
He said Nigeria can target about 10 percent of the investment, noting that such funding can significantly improve the country’s electricity infrastructure if properly deployed.
