Works Minister, Dave Umahi, says the Lagos Calabar coastal highway is not at risk of being submerged, insisting that it was designed to withstand flooding.

Umahi stated this while fielding questions from newsmen, dismissing claims that the project is worsening flooding in Lagos state.

He said flooding in the area predates the project, noting that some buildings along the coastal corridor were constructed decades ago.
