Kano state ministry of education has declared the Eid-El-Kabir holiday for all public and private primary and secondary schools across the state.
According to the ministry, boarding school students will begin the break on May 23 and resume on May 31, while day schools close on May 22 and reopen by June 1, 2026.
Education commissioner, Ali Makoda urged parents to ensure timely pickup and return of students, while wishing the education community a peaceful and joyous Sallah celebration.
