Former labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has been cleared to contest the presidential primary of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2027 general election.
NDC screening committee chairman, Sam Egwu announced obi’s clearance after a screening exercise held in Abuja, confirming he met all constitutional and statutory requirements.
Obi confirmed the process on his X handle, noting that he was questioned on his credentials and vision for Nigeria, while commending the party for conducting a transparent and credible exercise.
