The presidency has faulted Governor Seyi Makinde’s call for a un investigation into the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oyo State, describing it as unnecessary and politically motivated.
Recall that Makinde made the demand while receiving the 45 victims rescued after 56 days in captivity, saying Nigerians deserved full details of the incident.
However, presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga said Nigeria’s security agencies had already explained the rescue, adding that Makinde’s request shows a lack of confidence in the country’s security institutions.
