The House of Representatives has commenced a two-day public hearing on defence bills aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s military and tackling emerging security threats.
Speaker of the house, Abbas Tajudeen said the proposed laws are part of the 10th house legislative agenda and are designed to address the nation’s evolving security challenges.
He noted that the bills seek to modernise military operations, improve personnel welfare, and enhance accountability within the armed forces.
