Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says the state will not owe any debt once he is handing over to his successor in 2023.

Wike disclosed this at the inauguration of the renal center and officers’ quarters of the state university teaching hospital, accused his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi for failing to pay two months’ salaries to civil servants and six months’ pension arrears for retired civil servants worth 50 Billion Naira debts.

He however stated that he is satisfied with his achievements as governor, adding that the people of the state are pleased with him.
