No fewer than 15 people have sustained degrees of injuries following a gas explosion that occurred in Ijora Badia, Apapa Iganmu local council development area of Lagos state.
State Director of the fire and rescue service, Margaret Adeseye, confirmed the incident to newsmen, revealing that the fire was caused by a gas leak due to mishandling, which attracted a nearby flame and triggered an explosion.
She further added that the victims have been taken to the hospital for medical attention.
