The Rivers state police command has fired tear gas on the protesters under the Take-it-back (TIB) movement in a bid to disperse them.

Recall that the take-it-back movement had yesterday announced plans to hold a peaceful protest in the state today which will focus on rejection of numerous anti-people policies by the government.

The policemen, however, asked them to leave but the protesters started singing solidarity songs and proceeded outside towards the popular aba express road.
