No fewer than 20 persons, who chartered an 18-seater bus from the Yaba area of Lagos state to attend a group party in the Republic of Benin have been confirmed dead in an auto crash in Badagry area of the state.
Spokesman for the State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Taofiq Adebayo confirmed this to newsmen, explaining that the accident, which involved a Mazda commercial bus and a truck loaded with sand, collided after the commercial bus lost control along the Lagos-Badagry expressway.
Adebayo further stated that the dead bodies of the victims have been taken to the Badagry general hospital morgue.
