Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodomma has dissolved the state executive council in his cabinet with immediate effect.
Uzodomma, who was sworn in for the second term in office, told journalists that the dissolution is necessary in order to set a goal for the new administration for optimum performance and new direction, while appreciating his former appointees for their contributions towards the success of his administration during his first term in office.
However, those affected includes secretary to the state government, commissioners, special advisers and senior special advisers, chief of staff as well as the chief press secretary.
