No fewer than 25 people have been reportedly killed after suspected bandits attacked Bokkos local government area of plateau state.
Chairman of the local government, Samuel Amalau, confirmed the incident, saying the attackers stormed the community in the early hours of today and opened fire on residents.
However, a local youth leader, identified as Tula, claimed the death toll could be as high as 30, raising fears of a worsening security situation in the area.
