Ogun state government has inaugurated a safe school steering committee to strengthen security and promote a safer learning environment across schools in the state.
According to the government, the committee will lead the development and implementation of policies and programmes aimed at improving school safety and emergency preparedness.
Speaking at the inauguration in Abeokuta, commissioner for education, science and technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu, said members were selected based on their expertise, experience, and institutional responsibilities.
