A Federal high court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari for two weeks.
The Presiding Judge, Justice Emeka Nwite, who spoke to newsmen, said Kyari, was granted 50 Million Naira bail and a surety in like sum to enable him to conclude the burial rites of his mother who died on the 5th of May, 2024.
Kyari, who had been in detention since his arrest in February 2022, was also directed to deposit his international passport to the court and report to any National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) formation nearest to him, within the period of the bail.
