A federal high court in Kaduna has adjourned the trial of former governor Nasir El-Rufai to June 24, 2026, over alleged abuse of office, fraud, and financial misconduct.
The case, filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), centres on claims that public funds were released for projects that were not executed or improperly managed.
Meanwhile, El-Rufai, who appeared in court under security escort, denied all the charges and maintained his innocence as the trial continues.
