Bauchi State Government has appointed 142 new district heads across 20 emirates and one chiefdom in the State to boost traditional leadership and grassroots administration.
Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Abubakar Wabi, announced the appointments during a press briefing in Bauchi, noting that the appointees have already received their appointment letters and can begin work immediately.
According to Wabi, the appointment follows the State Chieftaincy appointment and deposition law 2025, which guides the restructuring and recognition of traditional institutions in the State.
