The federal government has recorded no fewer than 603 deaths while 2.5 million people have been affected as flood spreads more havoc and sorrow across the country.
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Abuja, also announced that 2,407 suffered degrees of injuries, 82,053 houses and 332, 327 hectares of farmlands were completely damaged.
She however stated that the federal government has sent delegations to Cameroon on the periodic opening of Lagdo dam which is affecting Nigeria, following the devastating effect of flood, as she revealed that Anambra, Delta, Cross River, Rivers and Bayelsa states are still at risk of experiencing floods till the end of November 2022.
