The federal government has confirmed the release of a 50 percent capital component of the 2023 supplementary budget approved for the security agencies across the country.
Minister of Finance, Wale Edun disclosed this during a briefing on the financial sector organized by the leadership of the House of Representatives, explaining that the recurrent component of the budget is being worked out and will be released in due course.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker of the House, Benjamin Kalu, who presided over the briefing, expressed concern over the prevailing security challenges affecting the country.
