The Federal Government has promised to launch the conditional cash transfer policy for 15 million households by 17th of October, 2023.
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu confirmed this to journalists, revealing that the development follows the approval from President Bola Tinubu, while stressing that the ministry is working with stakeholders across the country to get a credible register of beneficiaries.
Edu also revealed that the government is preparing to relaunch the tradermoni scheme by November, 2023 in order to allow beneficiaries to receive 50 thousand naira to upgrade their businesses.
