Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto state has assured residents of his administration’s commitment to ensuring the early completion of the military armoured division project in Illela local government area of the state.
The governor gave the assurance when he visited the Illela local government in continuation of his thank-you visit to local government areas of the state, noting that the armoured division is part of efforts to improve security especially along the border areas and checkmate the activities of bandits ravaging some parts of the state.
He further assured that arrangements are in top gear to pay compensation to people whose lands are being used for the armoured division site in the area.
